Babocsa (Babolesa, spr. Babotscha), 1) Bezirk im österreichischen Kreise Schümegh (Ungarn); 2) Stadt hier, an der Rinya, von Croaten bewohnt, im 16. u. 17. Jahrh. Zankapfel zwischen Türken u. Christen; 3) Festung, so v.w. Babicsa.
