Cleyēra (C. Thunb.), Pflanzengattung nach Andre Cleyer (geb. in Kassel, holländischer Schiffsarzt in Ostindien um 1675; er schrieb mehreres über chinesische u. indische Pflanzen u. Medicin), aus der Familie der Ternstroemiaceae-Ternstroemieae, 13. Kl. 1. Ordn. L. Arten: C. japonica in Japan; C. grandiflora u.a. in Ostindien.
