Petītor (lat.), Kläger in Civilstreitigkeiten. Petitorium (Petitorische Rechtsmittel, Petitorienklagen), gerichtliche Verhandlungen, wobei es auf das Recht selbst an einer Sache, das Eigenthum einer Sache, das Recht zu einer Servitut ankommt, im Gegensatz zum Possessorium, wo blos er den Besitz einer Sache od. eines Rechts gestritten wird.
