Logothĕtes

Logothĕtes (Logotheta, gr. Ant.), 1) derjenige, welcher Rechnung abnimmt u. Rechnung führt; 2) im Byzantinischen Reiche der Kanzler; 3) in der Griechischen Kirche derjenige, welcher als Beisitzer des geistlichen Gerichts die kaiserlichen Edicte durch Besiegelung ausfertigte.
