Prierĭas

Prierĭas, Sylvester, hieß eigentlich Mazolini, geb. zu Prierio in Montserrat, wurde Dominikaner, lehrte Theologie in Bologna, dann in Rom, wurde hier Magister sacri palatii u. zuletzt nach Ein. General seines Ordens; st. nach Ein. 1523. Er war einer der ersten, welcher gegen Luther schrieb, namentlich Dialogus in praesumptuosas M. Lutheri conclusiones de potestate Papae, dann Errata et argumenta M. Lutheri, Rom 1520.
