Achor (Achōres, gr.), böser Grind, s.d.; A. in facie, so v.w. Milchschorf. Daher Achorion, der kleine Pilz in diesem Grind; bes. Achorion Schoenleinii, ein von Schönlein entdeckter Pilz, der am menschlichen Körper auf der Haut, unter den Nägeln od. am Haare schmarotzt u. zu Massen angehäuft einen Grind (Favusborke) vorzüglich am Kopfe bildet.
