Anguinĕa, Familie der Fischmolche, mit wurmförmigem, bein- u. schwanzlosem, quergefurchtem Körper, After am stumpfen Körperrande, Zunge ganz festgewachsen, wühlen in feuchter Erde. Zu ihnen gehören die Gattungen Coecilia u. Siphonops.
