Bar Sudaili, gegen das Ende des 15. Jahrh. Abt eines Klosters zu Edessa, mystischer Theolog, behauptete, durch Christus sollten alle gefallenen Menschen so mit Gott eins werden, wie der Vater, der Sohn u. der Heilige Geist Ein göttliches Wesen wären, u. gerieth darüber mit den früher ihm befreundeten Monophysiten in Streit. Man beschuldigt ihn des Pantheismus, so wie daß er die Sacramente u. alle sittlichen Anstrengungen für überflüssig, dagegen sinnliche Lüste für erlaubt erklärt habe.
