Barygāza

Barygāza (a. Geogr.), Hafenstadt auf der WKüste der Halbinsel diesseit des Ganges am Namados, war der Haupthandelsplatz des südwestlichen Indiens; jetzt Baroach (Baroatsch). Nach B. war der Barygazenische Busen (die jetzige Bai von Cambay), mit dem Barygazenischen Vorgebirge (jetzt Spitze der Insel Dieu) genannt.
