Brownĕa (B. L.), Pflanzengattung nach Browne 5) benannt, aus der Familie der Papilionaceae-Caesalpinieae, 6. Ordnung der Monadelphie L.; Arten: B. coccinea, pauciflora, grandiceps, rosa de monte; südamerikanische, buntblumige, zum Theil ährenständige Pflanzen.
