Clemencet (spr. Klemangsäh), Charles, geb. 1703 zu Painblanc in Autun, 1723 Benedictiner; er st. 1778 in Paris. Hauptwerk die Ergänzung von Dantines L'art de vérifier les dates des faits hist. (s. u. Dantine), setzte die Hist. lit. de la France (10. u. 11. Bd., 1756–59) fort u. gab Gregor von Nazianz, Par. 1778, Fol. (unvollendet) heraus.
