Cleveland (spr. Klihwländ), John, geb. 1613 in Loughborough, war Mitglied der Universität in Cambridge, wo man ihm, seiner eleganten Latinität wegen, die Abfassung aller Zuschriften an die höchsten Staatspersonen übertrug. Seine Erklärung für Karl I. war ihm sehr nachtheilig. Er schrieb Gedichte (letzte Ausg., Lond. 1687).
