Courtin

Courtin (spr. Kurtäng), N., geb. 1770 in Lisieux, verlor in der Revolution 1790 seine Stelle als Parlamentsadvocat in Rouen, wurde nach dem 9. Thermidor 1796 Secretär des Convents, später im Kriegsministerium, 1803 Substitut des Generalprocurators, 1811 Generaladvocat am kaiserlichen u. bald darauf Procurator am bürgerlichen Gerichtshof, was er bis nach den 100 Tagen blieb; 1815 exilirt, erhielt er später die Erlaubniß zur Rückkehr u. lebte als Advocat in Paris; er gab die Encyclopédie moderne, Par. 1823–32, 24 Bde. heraus.
