Nippenose, Thal in der Grafschaft Lycoming des Staates Pennsylvanien (Nordamerika); 21/2 Meilen lang, 1 Meile breit, von hohen steilen Gebirgen umgeben; viele Kalksteinhöhlen, in welche die von den Bergen herabströmenden Gießbäche fließen, dort verschwinden, sich unterirdisch vereinigen u. dann durch eine Felsenspalte als großer Fluß wieder hervordringen, welcher bei Jersey Shore in den Susquehanna River fällt.
