Demonstration (v. lat.), 1) Beweis; bes. im engeren Sinne, so v.w. Apodiktischer Beweis; 2) Vorzeigung zergliederter u. präparirter Körpertheile, mit Erklärung u. Erläuterung derselben zum anatomischen Unterricht; 3) die einem Rechtsgeschäft hinzugefügte Beschreibung, um dadurch etwas näher zu bezeichnen; 4) eine Handlung zur Offenbarung seines Willens, sopolitische D-en; 5) (Kriegsw.), ein vorgespiegelter Angriff einer Heeresabtheilung, um dadurch den Angriff einer anderen Abtheilung zu verbergen.
