Erpenius (van Erpen), Thom., geb. 1584 zu Gorkum in Holland u. st. 1624 als Professor in Leyden; er schr.: Grammatica arabica, Leyden 1613, Amsterd. 1636, umgearbeitet von J. D. Michaelis, Gött. 1781; Rudimenta linguae arab., ebd. 1620; er gab El Mazins Historica Saracenica, Lpz. 1625, heraus.
