Ganilh, Charles, französischer Nationalökonom, geb. 1760 in der Auvergne, war Advocat in Paris u. 1789 einer der Wahlmänner, vertheidigte, namentlich als Tribun, das Interesse u. die Rechte des Volks, zog sich jedoch 1802 ins Privatleben zurück; nach der Restauration in die Deputirtenkammer gewählt, war er deren Mitglied bis 1823 u. sprach mit großem Freimuth gegen das damals herrschende System; er st. 1836 u. schr.: Essai politique sur le revenu public des peu ples, Par. 1806, 2 Bde., 2.
