Gordĭus (Wasserkalb), Gattung aus der Familie der Fadenwürmer, mit rundem Kopfe, keinem od. doch wenig deutlichem Munde, das Männchen kleiner u. am Ende in zwei Fäden gespalten, mehrere Zoll lang, dünn wie ein Zwirnsfaden, weißlich od. bräunlich, am Ende schwärzlich. Auf thonigem Boden im Wasser, nicht selten verwickelt, wie verwirrtes Garn daliegend.
