Hierothĕus

Hierothĕus, Confluentius (eigentlich Joh. Mich. Stammel), geb. 1682 in Coblenz, trat in den Kapuzinerorden, wurde 1716 Beichtvater des Cardinals u. nachmaligen Fürstbischofs von Speier, Grafen Damian Hugo von Schönborn, dem er 1721 zur Wahl von Innocenz XIII. nach Rom folgte, 1724 Custos des Generalcapitels, dann seit 1731 von den verschiedenen Capiteln zum Provinzial ernannt u. st. 1763 im Kapuzinerkloster zu Trier. Er schr.: Provincia Rhenana fratrum Minorum Capucinorum, 1735, u. Aufl. Heidelb. 1770; Epitome historica, in qua ab a. 1208–1525 res Franciscanae generatim, dein vero solae Minorum Capucinorum usque ad a. 1747 repraesentantur, ebd. 1750; Manipulus Confluentinarum memorabilium rerum etc., Luxemb. 1753.
