Defr., Petres.), vorweltliche Korallengattung aus der Ordnung Thallopodia, mit cylindrischem, verästeltem u. wieder verwachsenem Polypenstock, mit Röhren durchzogen, welche sich an der Oberfläche zu sechsseitigen verlängerten Zellen ausbilden. Art: I. Bajocensis Defr., im Oolithgebirge Frankreichs.
