Mädchen, mit Blumen bekränzt, tanzten unter Gesang um das im Freien angezündete Feuer u. trieben ihre Heerden darüber, um sie den Waldgeistern unzugänglich zu machen. Jetzt wird ein Fest einer Heiligen gefeiert, die von der K. den Beinamen Kupalnitza führt.
