Kurrachee (spr. Karadschi), der wichtigste Hafen- u. Handelsplatz der britischen Provinz Sind in Ostindien, 1853 bereits 22, 300 Ew., ist stark befestigt; die Ausfuhr besteht in Kameelen, Salpeter, Salz, Reis, Getreide, Thee, Talg, Öl, Fischen, Gerberrinde, Alkalien, Indigo u. Baumwolle; die Einfuhr in Metallen, Baumwollen- u. Seidenstoffen etc. K. ist auch in politischer u. militärischer Beziehung ein Platz von höchster Bedeutung für die Briten.
