Lachănas

Lachănas (Kordokubes), bulgarischer Schweinehirt; machte unter dem byzantinischen Kaiser Michael Paläologos, um 1271, durch Weissagungen Aufsehn u. stellte sich als göttlicher Gesandter an die Spitze einer Empörung. Er hatte Anfangs Glück u. tödtete selbst König Constantin von [953] Bulgarien, in einem Treffen; nun bekriegte ihn Michael Paläologos; Maria, dessen Enkelin u. Constantins Wittwe, warf sich dem L. in die Arme u. heirathete ihn 1278. Er wurde aber bald darauf besiegt, seine Gemahlin dem Kaiser ausgeliefert u. Terteres zum König ausgerufen. L. floh zu den Tataren u. wurde dort 1223 ermordet. Ein falscher L., der 1291 in Constantinopel, auftrat, fand viel Anhang.
