Legĭo

Legĭo (lat.), 1) so v.w. Legion, s.d.; Legio fulminĕa (L. fulminatrix), so v.w. Donnerlegion. Legio Thebaca, s. Thebanische Legion; 2) (a. Geogr.), Name mehrer Städte, nach dem Standquartier der Legionen benannt, z.B. Legio septima germanica (gemina) Brigacelorum, so v.w. Brigäcium. Legio ricesima Ulpia, so v.w. Colonia Trajana.
