Lupāta, Gebirge auf der Ostküste Südafrikas, erstreckt sich in der Richtung von Süden nach Norden etwa zwischen 13° bis 18° südl. Br., soll eine Höhe bis 9000 Fuß erreichen u. wird von den Zambesestrome unterhalb Tete durchbrochen. Von der Schlucht, durch welche der Zambese abfließt, soll das Gebirge den Namen erhalten haben.
