Brousson (spr. Brussong), Claude, war geboren zu Nismes, prakticirte als Advocat zuerst zu Castres u. dann in Toulouse; seit den Verfolgungen, welche in Frankreich über die Reformirten ergingen, wirkte B. von 1683 an mit Erfolg theils als Prediger, wozu er sich in der Schweiz hatte weihen lassen, theils durch Sendschreiben ermunternd u. stärkend zur Erhaltung der Reformirten Kirche in Frankreich. Er wurde im Sept. 1698 zu Oleron verhaftet u. 4. Nov. d. J. in Montpellier hingerichtet. Er schr. außer den genannten Sendschreiben noch: La manne mystique du désert, Amst. 1695; Lettres pastorales sur le cantique des cantiques à l'épouse de Jesus Christ, qui est sous la croix, Haag 1699 (deutsch von Rühle); Rélation des miracles que Dieu a faits dans les Corennes (deutsch Frankf. 1698); Etat des Réforméz en France, Haag 1685; Lettres et opuscules de feu Mr. B., herausgegeben Utr. 1711. Seine Lebensbeschreibung erschien holländisch, Delft 1699.
