Patrizze

Patrizze (Patrizio, Patricius), Franz, aus Clissa in Dalmatien, geb. 1529; lehrte zu Ferrara Philosophie; Papst Clemens VIII., sein Schüler, machte ihn zum Lehrer der Philosophie in Rom, wo er 1597 st. Er war Neuplatoniker; sein System ist: Weisheit ist Allerkenntniß; das Ersterkannte im All ist das Licht, weshalb die Philosophie als Streben nach Weisheit mit dem Lichte beginnen muß; Alles Licht stammt von dem Urlichte, Gott (diese Lehre nennt er Panaugie); Gott ist das höchste, Alles beherrschende Princip (Panarchie); Alles ist beseelt (Pampsychie); durch Licht u. Raum, welche unkörperliche Substanzen sind, hat Alles in der Welt Einheit u. Zusammenhang (Pankosmie).
