Poterĭum (P. L.), Pflanzengattung aus der Familie der Rosaceae-Dryadeae, Monöcie, Polyandrie L.; Arten: P. sanguisorba (Kleine Bibernell, Becherblume, Afterblutkraut, Venusnabel), mit gefiederten Blättern, rundlichen, grünlichen Blüthenköpfchen, an sonnigen Bergen wildwachsend, auch als Küchenkraut cultivirt u. als Zusatz zu Salaten u. als Suppenkraut benutzt; sonst als Herba pimpinellae minoris s. italicae gegen Ruhr, Blutflüsse etc. officinell; P. spinosa, in Südeuropa, wie die Vorige benutzt.
