Putatĭon (v. lat.), die Meinung, das Dafürhalten. Daher Putatīv, vermeint. Putative Ehe, vermeinte Ehe, wenn einer od. beide Ehegatten nicht wußten, daß der Eingehung ihrer Ehe ein gesetzliches Hinderniß entgegenstand. Diese Ehe gilt bis zur Trennung als gesetzliche u. die bis dahin erzeugten Kinder stehen den ehelichen gleich.
