Richardĭa (R. L., Richardsonia Kunth.), Pflanzengattung nach Ach Richard 2) benannt, aus der Familie der Rubiaceae-Coffeaceae, 6. Kl. 1. Ordn. L.; Arten : R. scabra, mit liegendem rauhem Stängel, weißen Blumen, in Südamerika; die geringelte, grauliche, 3 Linien dicke Wurzel, kommt als Rad. ipecacuanhae albae, s. farinaceae, s. undulatae, s. amylaceae, im Handel vor, wirkt. Brechen erregend; R. rosea St. Hil. (R. emetica Mart.), mit rosenrothen Blüthen, in Brasilien. Die nicht geringelte, mehr gelbe, mehr faserige Wurzel, wird wie die Vorige gebraucht.
