Mezöhegyes, Pußta im Bezirk Batonya des Comitats Bekes-Csanad (ungarisches Verwaltungsgebiet Großwardein) mit berühmtem Pferdegestüte, welches 200 Beschäler, 4000 Zucht- u. 3000 junge Pferde enthält u. auf 17,000 Pferde angelegt ist; es vertheilt nach Ungarn u. Siebenbürgen jährlich 160 Zuchthengste u. liefert jährlich über 1000 Remontepferde. Hier u. in dem Nebengestüte, in Babolna (wo vorzüglich Ochsen u. Schafe gehalten werden), sind 500 Personen angestellt.
