Strombŏli

Strombŏli (sonst Strongyle), eine der Liparischen Inseln; besteht aus einem 3016 Fuß hohen Schlackenberg u. ist ein beständig thätiger Vulkan; die 1500 Ew. sammeln viel Schwefel u. Bimsstein u. bauen Baumwolle, Wein u. Südfrüchte. In der Nähe die kleinere Insel Strombolino.
