Mahar-Naomi, Waffenfest. neuntägiges Fest der Indier im October, am Tage nach dem Neumond beginnend, mit Processionen u. Ceremonien in den Tempeln, Aufzügen der Schulknaben mit ihren Lehrern, welche vor den vornehmsten Häusern, singen u. beschenkt werden. Die acht ersten Tage sind dem Schiwa u- Wischnu geheiligt, der neunte der Parwadi, Lakschmi u. Saraswadi. Brahminen bespritzen mit Weihwasser Alles, was im Haus ist.
