Vale

Vale (lat.), lebe wohl; valete, lebet wohl. Davon Valediciren, 1) Lebewohl sagen, Abschied nehmen; 2) bes. auf Schulen in einer öffentlichen (meist lateinischen) Rede seinen Lehrern u. Mitschülern Lebewohl sagen. Die Feierlichkeit dabei heißt Valediction.
