Zellig

Zellig, 1) (Cellulosus), was kleine, unter einander verbundene Höhlen (Zellen) darstellt; auch 2) was aus Zellgewebe besteht; daher Zellige Haut, überhaupt ein aus dichtem Zellgewebe bestehendes Hautgebilde. Zellige Haut der Arterien, der Harnblase, Nerven etc., s.u. Arterie, Harnblase, Nerven. Zellige od. schwammige Körper der Harnröhre, s.u. Genitalien. 3) Mineral, wenn es durch Scheidewände abgesonderte regelmäßigere od. unregelmäßigere Vertiefungen hat; man unterscheidet geradzellig (geradflächigzellig) u. rundzellig, je nachdem die Zellen gerade od. gebogene Schiedwände haben.
