Batta, 1) Marktflecken rechts an der Donau im österreichischen Kreise Tolna (Ungarn), mit den Ruinen einer alten Abtei; Weinbau; 2500 Ew.; 2) Provinz im Reiche Eongo (s.d.) in Oberguinea; 3) (Battaer), so v.w. Battas; 4) (Battak), District in Sumatra, erstreckt sich von dem Battu-Bara-Flusse im NNW. bis zu dem Rackan im SSO. u. nimmt die ganze Breite der Insel ein.
