Cardĕa

Cardĕa, römische Göttin des Öffnens u. Verschließens der Thür, daher als Hauswächterin verehrt. Janus überraschte sie u. lohnte ihre Gunst mit ihrer Erhebung zur Göttin. Ihr Fest fiel auf den 1. Juni.
