Gallerĭa

Gallerĭa (G. Fabr.). Schmetterlingsgattung aus der Familie der Schaben, mit großen Kiefertasten, unter den Schuppen des Kopfschildes versteckt, Lippentaster kürzer als der Kopf, rückwärts gebogen, Fühler kaum von Körperlänge. Die Raupen wohnen in bedeckten Gängen (Galeria) der Bienen- u. Hummelzellen; Art: Honig- od. Wachsschabe (G. cerella), s.d.
