L.; Arten: H. patens, scharlachroth blühender Strauch in Südamerika; H. ventricosa, großer, starker Baum in Westindien, mit feinkörnigen, weißlichen, lichtbraunen od. grau geflammten, zu seiner Tischlerarbeit benutzten, unter dem Namen Prinzenhölz in den Handel kommendes Holz.
