Oxychloride (Basische Chlormetalle), Verbindungen von Metalloxyden mit den ihnen entsprechenden Chloriden, z.B. Bleioxychlorid (Basisches Chlorblei) = PbCl + 2PbO. Sie entstehen theils durch unvollständige Zerlegung der Oxyde durch Chlor, theils aus gewissen Chloriden durch Einwirkung von Oxyden od. des Wassers u. sind fast alle, die der Alkalien ausgenommen, in Wasser unlöslich.
