Ramnad, Stadt in der britisch-ostindischen Präsidentschaft Madras, Provinz Carnatic, District Madura, ist befestigt u. Sitz des ehemaligen Radscha od. Zemindar von R., hat ein sehr großes Fort, mehre Moscheen, protestantische Kirche, ansehnliche Bazars u. Zeugweberei. Das Fort allein zählt 5000 Ew.
