Rapheleng, Franz, geb. 1539 in Lannoy bei Lille; war Anfangs Lehrer der Griechischen Sprache in Cambridge, wurde 1565 Besitzer der Plantinischen Buchdruckerei in Antwerpen u. ging 1585 nach Leyden, wo er Professor der Hebräischen Sprache wurde u. 1597 starb. Er schr. u.a.: Epitome thesauri Pagniniani, Antw. 1570 u. ö.; Lexicon arab., 1613, u. ö.; gab das syrische Neue Testament heraus, Antw. 1575.
