Turra), Flecken in der spanischen Provinz Ciudad Real (Neucastilien); Gerberei, Branntweinbrennerei; 7600 Ew.; 3) die größte, wichtigste u. am besten cultivirte Insel aus der Gruppe der Azoren (Nordwestafrika), 33 Ml. lang, 6–9 Ml. breit, gebirgig (vulkanisch), häufige Erdbeben, sehr fruchtbar; 70,000 Ew.; Hauptstadt: Punta Delgada; 4) Bucht an der Nordküste von Manila; 5) großes, von den Jesuiten angelegtes Missionsdorf in der brasilianischen Provinz Rio Negro; 6) Stadt in brasilianischen Provinz S. Catarina; 7) Nebenfluß des Putumayo in der Republik Ecuador; 8) Stadt im centralamerikanischen Staate San Salvador; 5600 Ew.
