Soymîda (S. Adr. Juss.), Pflanzengattung aus der Familie der Cedrelaceae-Swieteniae; Art: S. febrifuga Adr. Juss. (Swietenia febrifuga Roxb.), in Ostindien; davon die Soymidarinde (Cortex soymidae), rothe, brüchige, dichte, mit einer dünnen, rauhen, aschgrauen, gleichsam punktirten Haut bedeckte, zusammenziehend bitter schmeckende, schwach gewürzhaft riechende, mit Weingeist u. Wasser rothe Auszüge gebende, als Fiebermittel in England benutzte Rinde von Swietenia febrifuga.
