Sēver, 1) (St. S., spr. Säng Säwer), Arrondissement im französischen Departement Landes; 96,000 Ew.; 2) Hauptstadt desselben, am Adour; Fayencefabrik, Wein- u. Branntweinhandel; 5500 Ew.; 3) (St. S.), Marktflecken im Arrondissement Vire des Departements Calvados; 1700 Ew., Waldarbeiter; 4) linker Nebenfluß des Tajo, entspringt östlich von Portalegre in der portugiesischen Provinz Alemtejo, bildet die Grenze von Portugal u. Spanien u. mündet nordöstlich von Montalvao.
