Amarkalim (hebr., Hüter der Schwelle), aus den vornehmsten u. ältesten der 24 Priesterordnungen gewählte Aufseher im Tempel zu Jerusalem; jeder hatte einen verschiedenen Schlüssel zum Schatz u. den heiligen Gefäßen.
