Barentsen, 1) (Barents), Bernard de Dowe (der Taube), Historienmaler aus Amsterdam, st. in der Mitte des 16. Jahrh.; vorzüglich berühmt durch ein Gemälde auf dem Stadthause zu Amsterdam, welches die Verschwörung vom Jahr 1535 vorstellt 2) Dick, Sohn des Vor., bei den Italienern auch der Taube (il Sordo) genannt, geb. zu Amsterdam 1334, st. daselbst 1592; bildete sich in Venedig unter Tizian zu einem Bildnißmaler im großen Style.
