Bekah (hebr. so v.w. die Hälfte), 1) hebräische Rechnungsmünze = 1/2 Seckel, etwa 111/4 Sgr.; 2) Kopfgeld, das jeder Jude vom 20. Lebensjahre an zur Erhaltung des Tempels erlegte u. später als Tribut den Römern zahlen mußte.
