Bushnell (spr. Buschnell), Horace, geb. um 1804 in New-Preston im Staate Connecticut, arbeitete Anfangs in einer Walkmühle, besuchte später das Yale-College New-Haven, übernahm dann die Redaction des New York Journal of commerce, gründete eine Privatschule zu Norwich in Connecticut u. wurde 1829 Lehrer am Yale-College. Als solcher studirte er Rechtswissenschaften, später Theologie u. wurde 1833 Prediger an einer Congregationalistenkirche zu Hartford. Er schr.[503] u.a.: Christian Nurture, 1847; God in Christ., 1.
