Capax (lat.), 1) fähig, etwas in sich aufzunehmen, geräumig; 2) fähig, tauglich zur Verwaltung eines Amtes, zur Führung eines Geschäftes etc., daher bei den Johannitern ein Ritter, der fähig war eine Comthurei zu bekleiden, s. Johanniterorden; Capax feudi, lehnsfähig.
